The Kruger National Park is one of the oldest and most famous Parks in
the world. Upon the opening of the borders with Mozambique and
Zimbabwe, allowing the free movement of animals to and from the Park,
the present 2 000 000 hectare area will swell to the biggest conservation
area in the world.
The Elandela reserve fence is the first and last fence between the Lodge
and the Mozambique border, but we have to enter the Park at Orpen gate,
forty minutes away on the tarred road passing our gate. You travel in our
luxury, air conditioned Mercedes Vito bus guided by your qualified
Elandela guide. You leave Elandela directly after a full breakfast at
07h00. You will have the opportunity to shop for Kruger Park
memorabilia – remember shopping money! The best game viewing is
done during the cooler mornings and afternoons when the animals move
around. You might chance upon a Lion pride resting up around the
previous night’s kill! Bring your binoculars and prepare to take hundreds
of photos! This is also your opportunity to see many Elephants up close.
The trip is mostly on tarred roads with the first stop for coffee at 10h00 at
Satara rest camp. This area is famous for Lions – keep a look out! We
stop at 13h00 for lunch. Enjoy your meal on the wooden deck at Lower
Sabie overlooking the broad Sabie River which always boasts Hippo,
Elephant and Crocodile. The bush always teems with Buffalo and
Elephant herds on their way to drink at the river. We leave the Park at
16h00 to arrive at the Soshangana Tribal Village at 17h00 in order to
participate in traditional African song and dance before your dinner. |

| The Soshangana Tribal Village is an exact replica of an indigenous Tribal Village as it was hundreds of
years ago. Get an insight into tribal life and customs as it was, during the guided tour, but above all
enjoy the dancing around the village fire, to the beat of traditional songs. Enjoy a typical traditional
supper in one of the village huts before making your way back to Elandela Lodge at 20h00. |
