LODGE – FAQs
No. Full board does not include any beverages or speciality hot drinks.
Breakfast from 09h00 – 10h00, lunch from 14h30 – 15h30 and dinner from 19h00 – 21h00 are included and offered in the dining room.
No, unfortunately not. Alternatively Elandela offers tasty well balanced vegetarian meal options.
Yes. Elandela offers tasty well balanced gluten free and vegan meals.
No. All accommodation reservations are non-refundable.
We strongly advise you to take out travel insurance.
River View Lodge and Lake View Lodge are two separate lodges and there is no communication between the two lodges. What will happen are meals will be taken separately, rooms are separate, with no communication opportunities between guests from the two lodges.
GAME DRIVES & ACTIVITIES – FAQs
Yes. Morning game drive 06h00 – 09h00 and afternoon game drive 15h30 – 19h00 on Elandela Private Game Reserve.
No meals or drinks are included on extra excursions.
Yes. Afternoon game drives leave at 15h30 sharp, but keep in mind that you must check-in before departing on the game drive.
Yes. The morning game drive departs at 06h00 and returns at 09h00.
Various extra activities/excursions can be booked and paid at check in. Mid-day activities are walking safaris, Blyde River boat trip and visits to Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre.
No, you are welcome to join the game drives included in your package (no pre-booking necessary).
Yes. All extra activities/excursions and tours are booked and prepaid at check in (NOTE: these are weather dependant and non-refundable).
No. We advise you to purchase your own private game drive with driver and guide.
We advise parents with babies and toddlers to purchase their own private safaris in a game drive vehicle with their own guide. R4500.00 per game drive. Morning game drive time 06h00 – 09h00. Afternoon game drive time 15h30 – 19h00.
Elephants.
We advise all our guests to purchase the extra 06h00 – 17h00 Kruger National Park trip to see elephants at R1000.00 per person.
Yes. For your own safety you are informed to stay on the walkways provided for guests to move about. Be vigilant at all times as this is the wilderness area filled with dangerous animals which you have come to experience. Please take note of the safety precautions explained upon check-in.
No. The excursions offered by Elandela to visit Kruger National Park are offered in an air-conditioned Toyota Quantum minibus with special customised large windows to take photographs from.
